I think it is sad that the hyena population in zoos is in danger because people find them second-class animals. Personally I'd like to see a hyena because you can't have a collection of all the memorable Savannah animals without including those.
Also, a good way to show off to strangers on the internet is to ask them about the taxonomic classification of hyenas. It is: Order Carnivora, Suborder Feliformia, Family Hyaenidae.
See, it is funny because they're in the catlike suborder but look like dogs. Walruses, on the other hand, are in the doglike suborder, which in my opinion beats that.
